Dear Chapter Members,
It was brought to my attention that the credit card submission method we were using for the professional development day wasn't secure. I needed to make sure you were aware and as a precaution of this possible security issue. The credit cards that were posted to the website pmiarkansas.org for the professional development day were submitted using an unsecured method. I assure you it is highly unlikely that there were any security issues as a result of this. Regardless, This could have opened the door for the site to get hacked and credit card information getting snagged when you submitted. The threat was very small since there were a very few number of CC's submitted and the option was available for a very short time. Just to be on the safe side, please monitor your credit card statements and if you really want to be sure, then simply request a new credit card from your issuer.
The site has been changed to only allow you to select CC as your type of payment. Actual credit card information will have to be collected by a PDD coordinator or the treasurer - pdd at pmiarkansas.org or treasurer at pmiarkansas.org.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
Please forward this to any others that this may have affected.
Thanks
