Mr. Martinez,
I am following up concerning the email you sent below for support in my
research project. To date, I have received support from Houston, Clear
Lake, and Austin chapters. I was also wondering if you could please
resend the email as a follow-up in hopes I can get a few more chapters
to participate?
Thanks for your continued assistance and I am most appreciative of the
support to date.

Region 6 Volunteer Leaders,
Ms. Lila Carden is working on a research study on PM for Texas
A&M, see
below. The Houston chapter
Is supporting this effort and would like for you to share in
this study
with your membership in however you
can communicate this. It can be as easy as an email with a link
to the
survey. It will take about 3 minutes
to complete. Please pass on to your VP Education or Pro.
Development to
work with Lila. All supporters
with this effort will get a read out as described below. We need
to be
doing more of this with our future
Leadership in the Project Management community.
Thanks for your time,

Mr. Martinez,
I am currently working on my doctorate in Human Resource
Development at
Texas A&M University and I am interested in Project Management
as a
research topic.
Projects are short term organizations and project managers are
charged
with executing project initiatives. To that end, career paths
and career
development activities support the retention and success of
project
managers as well as project outcomes. My research project is
entitled
"Pathways to Project Management Success" and I have developed a
3 minute
survey to collect data. More specifically, the data is related
to career
paths, job satisfaction, career commitment, and performance. I
would be
most appreciative if Region 6 would participate in the study.
All the
data would be anonymous and collected via a survey link.
Additionally, I
will provide a summary report of the findings for your review
and
consideration and will be willing to present those findings in a
Chapter
meeting.
PMI- Houston Chapter is supporting me in this research project.
More
specifically, I have been communicating with Mr. Walter Viali
and Don
Grosskreutz.
If you have any questions, please contact me at lcarden at tamu.edu
or call
832- 671-1837. I look forward to your reply and I appreciate
your
support in promoting the intersection of academics and practice
within
the project management profession.
Lila Carden, PMP
